“Fantasia of Grapes” by Giovanni Valenti
Giovanni Valenti was born in Praiano, Salerno in Italy’s Campania region.
In addition to devoting nearly thirty years to an illustrious career with the Carabiniere sector of Italy’s law enforcement services, his artistic talents and inclinations led him into the fine arts.
An artist and sculptor, Giovanni approaches each subject matter with enthusiasm and passion, something which is recognized by his colleagues and professors alike. Poet Lino Vecchi has said of Giovanni “his paintings, that run a gamut of images and colours, deliver highly artistic and social messages”.
His works are documented in numerous art publications, including “L’Elite Selezione Arte Italiana – 1993/2003 editions and New Art Collection Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, 2003/2004 editions. As well, his art can be found in the historical archive of the Biennale di Venezia.
A life member of the Associazione of the Galleria Centro Storico, Firenze [historical centre], he is the recipient of numerous honours including the prestigious title of Cavaliere dell’Arte, Professore, Maestro d’Arte ad H.C. Most recently, at the Euro Art Expo Sirmione, he was awarded the “Palma D’oro per L’Arte” [Golden palm for Art].
