"VINEYARD OF ALSACE" by Hooshang Zahiri

From a young age, Hooshang immersed himself in the art of painting. Though his education was not in arts, during his life in England he fell in love with the English countryside and the works of the English watercolour painters. As a result, in addtion to his work and education, he took formal training at the Swiss Cottage School of Arts in London.

Hooshang is constantly searching for ways to depict light and atmosphere through the use of bold colours. He takes lessons from nature and a number of masters, mainly William Turner and Van Gogh. Though his passion is watercolour, he enjoys sketching with pen and ink. Hooshang's paintings have been displayed in numerous art shows and have found permanent homes in Canada, the United States and Europe.
